My Life Dollhouse for 18 Inch Dolls | Official Life Dolls Store
We designed this three-story dollhouse to be the heart of every 18 inch doll play session. Standing over three feet tall, our My Life Dollhouse opens wide to reveal six fully furnished rooms, from a working kitchen with tiny appliances to a cozy bedroom with a hanging chandelier. Every floor invites your child to arrange furniture, act out bedtime routines, and build stories that grow more elaborate with each visit.
The exterior features shuttered windows that actually open, a wraparound balcony with turned railings, and a pitched roof with decorative shingles. Inside, detailed wallpaper and hardwood-look flooring give each room its own personality, while the open-back design lets two friends play side by side without crowding. We included over forty pieces of furniture and accessories so your daughter can start decorating the moment she opens the box.

Room Layout & Interior Design
The first floor holds a living room and kitchen. We gave the kitchen a checkered tile backsplash and miniature appliances—a refrigerator with separate freezer door, a four-burner stove, and a sink molded to look like brushed steel. The living room features wood-grain flooring and floral wallpaper, plus a sofa, armchair, and coffee table ready for tea parties or family game night scenes.
Climb the staircase to the second floor and you’ll find a bathroom with a claw-foot tub and pedestal sink, plus a master bedroom dressed in lavender wallpaper and white furniture. The third-floor attic opens into a loft-style bonus room, perfect for a craft studio, playroom, or guest bedroom depending on how your child wants to decorate. Each level connects via a central staircase with turned balusters, giving dolls a realistic path from floor to floor.

Furniture & Accessory Details
Our 42-piece set includes scaled replicas of household staples: a kitchen table with two chairs, a four-poster bed with quilted bedspread, a bathroom vanity with oval mirror, and living room seating upholstered in coordinating fabrics. Small touches—a wire dish rack, a potted plant, framed wall art—let your daughter personalize every corner.
We molded cabinet doors and drawer pulls so they look functional even though they’re fixed in place. The chandelier hangs from a ceiling medallion and features six molded candle bulbs. Window shutters swing open on tiny hinges, and the balcony railing runs the full width of the second floor, offering a spot for dolls to wave goodnight or water pretend flower boxes.
Construction & Durability
We built the frame from engineered composite wood reinforced at every corner with L-brackets, so the structure stays square even after months of enthusiastic rearranging. The back panel is open, which not only makes it easier for two children to play at once but also keeps the overall weight manageable—the entire house tips the scale at just under twenty pounds.
Wallpaper and flooring are printed on heavy paper laminated to the interior walls, resisting peeling and moisture better than peel-and-stick decals. The roof lifts off if you ever need to reach the attic from above, and each floor sits on a solid shelf that won’t sag under the weight of furniture. Our assembly instructions walk you through twelve snap-fit steps; most families finish setup in under thirty minutes without tools.

Questions About the My Life Dollhouse
Yes, the dollhouse is designed specifically for 18 inch dolls and accommodates American Girl, Our Generation, Madame Alexander, and most other brands in that size category. Doorways measure five inches wide, and ceiling heights range from eight to nine inches, giving dolls plenty of room to stand and move naturally through every space.
The dollhouse stands 37 inches tall, 32 inches wide when fully open, and 12 inches deep. That height lets most children ages three and up reach the top floor comfortably without needing a step stool, while still offering three full stories of play space.
No tools are needed. The dollhouse uses a snap-together design with reinforced corner brackets that lock into place by hand. Our illustrated instructions guide you through twelve steps, and most families complete assembly in under thirty minutes.
The set includes 42 pieces: kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, sink), a dining table with chairs, a four-poster bed with bedspread, bathroom fixtures (tub, sink, vanity), living room seating, a chandelier, framed art, potted plants, and smaller accent pieces like a dish rack and coffee table. Everything your child needs to start decorating is in the box.
Absolutely. The dollhouse is designed to work with our furniture expansion packs and other 18 inch doll accessories. The open layout and modular rooms adapt easily to new themes, so you can swap bedroom furniture for a home office setup or add kitchen gadgets as your child's interests grow.
The back is fully open, which allows two children to play side by side without crowding and makes it easier to rearrange furniture or retrieve dropped accessories. The open design also keeps the overall weight lighter and improves visibility into every room.
Wipe interior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth—just enough moisture to lift dust or fingerprints. Avoid soaking the wallpaper, since excess water can lift the laminate at the edges. For plastic furniture, a drop of mild dish soap on a soft sponge removes marks without scratching.
